Colombia international Juan Cuadrado will be returning to London shortly, after helping his side to the semi-finals of the Copa America Centenario, and is expected to remain with Chelsea.
Juventus may not be able to hold on to loanee Juan Cuadrado this summer, as incoming coach Antonio Conte is anxious to retain the Colombian.
The Italy coach will be taking over at Chelsea following the conclusion of the European Championship , and recalling Cuadrado is a top priority.
Cuadrado first arrived in London in January of 2015 after completing a permanent move from Fiorentina but struggled under Jose Mourinho, despite his €31 million price tag.
However, a season-long loan move to Juventus in the summer of 2015 allowed Cuadrado to repair his damaged reputation and his last-minute goal against Torino in October set up the Bianconeri’s winning streak as they clinched the Scudetto.
In all, the 28-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions throughout the season.
His exceptional campaign has only increased the likelihood of a return to the Premier League however. Reclaiming Cuadrado is set to be one of Conte’s first acts in his inaugural season, as he looks to make Chelsea competitive once more.
The Azzurri tactician believes that the Colombia international can play a crucial role in his favoured 3-5-2 formation and is determined not to let him leave for another year.
