Conte To Chelsea Board: I Don’t Want This Player, This Is Who I Want

Chelsea are set to win the premier league title, and they are sure of playing in the Champions League next season. And as expected, their manager Antonio Conte is keen on adding more quality to his team ahead of next term.

One player that has been linked with the Stamford Bridge club is Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. Conte is said to have made him a top priority ahead of the summer transfer window.

And right now, according to new reports, the Italian boss has asked Chelsea’s board to complete a deal for the Spanish striker.

The Sun insisted that the former Juventus manager has made the signing of Morata his top priority for the summer and has asked Chelsea’s board to back his judgement.

Chelsea technical director, Michael Emenalo, is said to favour the re-signing of Everton star striker Romelu Lukaku. However, Antonio, having worked with Morata back then at Juventus, feel the Spaniard would suit his system better than the Belgian man.

Alvaro is struggling with lack of playing time under former France international Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid. The talented player is frustrated at the club and looks likely to leave at the end of the season.

Despite not getting lots of playing time, Morata has managed to score 15 times this season – a good indication that he would add value to Chelsea if he should come.
