Confirmed: Ex-Liverpool Striker To Leave Burnley This Summer

Peter Crouch

Burnley striker Peter Crouch will leave the club at the end of his current contract at the Turf Moor.

As confirmed by Goal, the former Liverpool star is one of four players to leave Burnley this summer.

Apart from Peter Crouch, ex-Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters, former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard and Stephen Ward will leave the Clarets at the end of their respective contracts.

Ex-England international Peter Crouch suffered relegation with Stoke City in the Premier League in the last campaign.

He spent the first half of the season with the Potters in the English Championship before joining Burnley during the winter transfer window earlier this year.

Peter Crouch signed for Burnley as part of the transfer that took Welsh international striker Sam Vokes from the club to Stoke City.

The experienced striker was a makeweight in the Sam Vokes deal to Stoke City in January.

Crouch signed a short-term deal until this summer.

His last appearance for the Clarets came during the home defeat to Arsenal in the last Premier League game of the season on Sunday.

Peter Crouch came on as a second half substitute as the Gunners ran out 3-1 winners courtesy two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah.
