As January transfer window draws closer, various report linking players to clubs have started and latest of such report is that linking Belgium international midfielder Thorgan Hazard back to Premier League.
Reports according to Daily Star claims that the Blues want the sensational star back at Stamford Bridge, having placed a buy-back clause on his contract when they sold him to German club Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014.
Thorgan who is a younger brother to Chelsea midfield maestro Eden Hazard was a flop during his spells at Chelsea. But since his arrival to the German club, the 23-years old star has excelled, with various clubs across Europe indicating interest in his services.
Speaking to German newspaper Express, Thorgan insisted that he is not aware of any buy-back clause to his contract.
“To be honest, I am not aware of this repurchase option. Said Thorgan.
“I don’t know anything about this story once published in a paper.”
Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl further added: “There is no clause.
“But we do not need to make any secrets: If we get a player from Chelsea, then Chelsea has always the possibility to think about that player in whatever form, but actually not [an] active [clause].”
The young star was on duty for the very first time with his elder brother Hazard on wednesday, when his national team took on Holland in the FIFA World Cup qualification match.
