Real Madrid are planning to swoop for Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum if they fail in their bid to sign Eden Hazard, according to reports.
The Spanish giants are eyeing a move for Chelsea attacker, Eden Hazard this summer as they hope to sign big-money moves to the Santiago Bernabeu but are also preparing a move for Wijnaldum in case a move for the Belgian star falls through. This comes following reports that Chelsea are trying to tie Hazard to a new deal at the club due to his contribution to the squad as they mount serious title challenge this season.
Meanwhile Wijnaldum has been a key figure under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield and has cemented his place as a fan favourite with his impressive feats for Liverpool this season, scoring five goals and eight assists so far.
The Dutch midfielder arrived at Anfield last summer transfer window after a wonderful outing with Newcastle but had to leave as the Magpies got relegated.
Reports in Tuttomercatoweb claim that Real Madrid have contacted Wijnaldum’s agent regarding a potential move to the Bernabeu.
It is understood that Jurgen Klopp views the midfielder has a key figure in his side and will not be willing to let him leave the Anfield this summer but there are suggestions that Wijnaldum will fancy a move to a side like Real due to his potential chances.
