Chinese Clubs In Transfer Battle To Sign ANOTHER Blues Star

Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai Shenhua are in battle to try lure Chelsea skipper John Terry to China.

The Blues skipper has been dropped to the bench for the most time under Antonio Conte and has reportedly been told by the club that this season will be his last at the Stamford Bridge.

Reports in the Express has now claimed that former Blues boss Felipe Scolari and Sunderland ex-manager Gus Poyet are keen to bring the 36-year-old to the far east.

Terry had earlier snubbed a deal to the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou Evergrande about a year ago but a deal is understood to be considerable since his future with Chelsea looks uncertain.

The English defender could earn around £11.9m a season after tax if he decides to join Chelsea teammate, Oscar in China.

Terry is currently recuperating from a muscle injury but a starting spot in the Blues looks bleak after reports that Conte is planning to bring in more defensive options to deputize for the current defence line.

Although, Conte had earlier said the defender should focus on getting back into the blues starting eleven rather than going into management following reports that the English FA is planning to offer Terry a fast-track into management with a role with the development in their youth set-up.
