Juventus star player Alex Sandro has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin in recent times and has emerged as a target for premier league champions Chelsea this summer.
And in a new development, there are reports that the Stamford Bridge club are willing to break the world record for a defender to secure the Brazilian’s services from Juve this summer.
Sandro is understood to be one of Antonio Conte’s major targets as the former Juventus boss remains keen to strengthen his squad before the end of this summer transfer window.
And The Times are reporting that the west London club are willing to pay £61 million for the Brazil international.
Last week, premier league rivals Man City set the current world record for a defender after paying Monaco £52m to secure the services of Benjamin Mendy, making him the current most expensive defender.
Even though Juventus are trying to hold on to Sandro after selling Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan, there are speculations that Antonio Conte still believe he can persuade his former club to allow the samba star join him at Stamford Bridge.
Again, the former Italy head coach insists he is in constant contact with the Chelsea management over transfer targets while in Singapore for his side’s preseason tour.
