Chelsea To Snatch Top Target Away From Man Utd’s Grip

Renato Sanches

Bayern Munich star player Renato Sanches has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena for sometime now, and premier league giants Manchester United are known to have shown interest in him since as far back as the January transfer window.

However, the 19-year-old has now emerged as a target for premier league champions Chelsea following reports that the Stamford Bridge club have made a late bid to sign him after sounding out Bayern over the player’s availability.

The teenager is expected to leave Carlo Ancelotti’s side this summer after he failed to impress in his debut campaign in the German top flight.

Last week, Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd were after the player, and Serie A heavyweights AC Milan are also interested in securing his services.

And now, Chelsea have reportedly inquired about Renato’s availability after their 3-2 loss to the German champions in Singapore this week.

However, it was added that Conte appeared to have held talks with Ancelotti only about the possibility of bringing Sanches to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan as he remains keen on adding more options to his midfield department with Nemanja Matic set to leave.

Man United were strongly linked with the young Portuguese before he made the move to Munich and Mourinho even confessed he would have ‘fought’ for the player had he been appointed manager earlier last summer.
