Ahead of the summer transfer window, one of the young stars linked with English premier league champions Chelsea is Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to reports from Turkey, Bayer Leverkusen are set to sell him at the end of this season.
Popular Turkish outlet Fanatik states that the German club are set to let go of the 23-year-old free-kick maestro.
His Bundesliga club are reportedly keen on a major squad overhaul as this season comes to an end, and even though they want to keep hold of some of their rising stars, they won’t mind allowing some players leave.
Even though Hakan has a £32.5 million release clause at Bayer Leverkusen, Fanatik indicates that they could be convinced to accept something lower for him.
Calhanoglu has been closely linked with a move to the English premier league over the past few months, and was recently involved in a transfer controversy that linked him to Chelsea.
The same Turkish outlet Fanatik, quoted him as saying he plans getting married in May, and will move to Chelsea next season.
Calhanoglu however denied making the statement, even though the Turkish source did not retract the article, the talented player actually ended up getting married in May.
In all competitions this term, he has scored seven goals and has provided seven assists in the process.
