Radja Nainggolan appears destined to play in the premier league next season after emerging as a target for two top English clubs (Chelsea and Manchester United) this summer.
However, despite the strong links with the English top flight, it appears the Belgian won’t be playing in England next term.
According to new reports, the talented player is set to sign a new deal with AS Roma.
Nainggolan has become an important member in the Roma squad since joining them in 2014 and his impressive performances has caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across Europe.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United are understood to have been keeping tabs on the 29-year-old this summer ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Man United boss Jose Mourinho is yet to have a main defensive midfielder in his squad at Old Trafford and has reportedly turned his focus to Radja since Spurs do not seem eager to sell Eric Dier.
Nainggolan himself has once suggested he would be open to a summer move. However, he is close to committing his future to Roma.
Roma president James Pallotta was recently asked by the Italian media if an agreement had been reached with Radja over a contract extension, and his response was in the affirmative.
However, Chelsea have been able to sign a strong defensive midfielder in the person of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco already.
