Chelsea Super Star Discloses How He Learnt About ‘Wing Back’ Role

Chelsea’s Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has revealed how he was told by his Italian club manager, Antonio Conte, that he would be playing in an unfamiliar role earlier in the season.

Chelsea started the English Premier League (EPL) season in impressive fashion with three wins from three games before a rocky patch of one point from the next three games (2-2 vs. Swansea City, 1-2 vs. Liverpool and 0-3 vs. Arsenal) heaped a lot of misery and pressure on former Siena and Juventus boss Antonio Conte, who quickly changed formation to his tried and trusted 3-4-3 formation leading to a spotless form of seven wins from the last seven-league games since the alteration.

Moses, who has excelled as a wing back since the change in formation, stated in an interview with Sky Sports that the turning point was the first training session immediately after the September defeat to Arsenal.

In his words, Moses said: “It was the first day of training after the defeat to Arsenal.”
“We saw ourselves in different positions in training.
“I saw myself in a different position and I thought ‘Am I playing right-wing or am I playing right-back?
“During that time he was talking to me, saying ‘this is what you’ve got to do, this is how you’re meant to play this position.” he further added.
