According to the Daily Star, Chelsea have suffered a major blow in their pursuit of Brazil international and Juventus defender Alex Sandro, with Juventus ready to offer the left back a new long-term contract.

As per the Daily Star, the Serie A champions are preparing a new huge deal, with the left back having made himself as one of the best defenders in Europe, with the form he’s shown during his time in the Serie A before Chelsea started pursuing the 26-year-old in a bid to reinforce the team.

Chelsea were unable to sign the Brazilian, with the Londoners unsuccessful in their bid to lure him into accepting to join them, the defender before the summer transfer window closed last Thursday, according to the Daily Star, with Chelsea even ready to pay as much as £60M to sign Sandro as per by the Telegraph.

The Brazil international was unmoved by Conte’s bids to sign him as per the Daily Star, with Juventus ready to reward Sandro, with the Serie A Champions ready to offer an improved deal to the defender.

With Antonio Conte’s failed bids to land the Brazilian, it’ll be interesting to know who the Blues head coach targets come January, as he looks to strengthen his squad even more as his team try and defend their Premier League title this campaign.
