Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has stated that one thing he’s targeting now this season at Chelsea is to pick up his first FA Cup win.
And he also feels Chelsea have got what it takes to see off Manchester United when they meet in the quarter-finals next week.
Even though the red devils have lost just one game since the start of November, the last time the blues met United saw Mourinho’s side been smashed 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.
And the Belgium international is of the opinion that the result from the last encounter gives his side the confidence they need ahead of the FA cup game.
“It is one of the targets, the FA Cup,” he said.
“I am five years now with Chelsea and I never won this cup so I want it this year.
“We know it is a fight against Man United every time but we did well this season when we won 4-0 at home [against them], so we hope we can do the same.”
Hazard won the man of the match award due to his outstanding performance in his side’s 2-1 victory against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday night.
The Belgian scored the opener for Chelsea in the 25th minute in the London derby following a superb combination play with Spain international Pedro Rodriguez to unlock the Hammers defence.
Hazard: What I Really Think About This Teammate
Hazard also joked that playing with midfielder N’Golo Kante is like sharing the pitch with twins.
The Frenchman played a key role in Hazard’s goal against West Ham after the France defensive midfielder intercepted a loose ball before Pedro released Hazard to run at the depleted West Ham back four.
Hazard speaking to Chelsea TV about Kante’s performance, said:
“Sometimes I think I’m playing with twins.”
This season so far, Hazard in 25 games has scored 11 times and has made four assists in the Premier League this season.
