Sergio Aguero

Though the January transfer window is still some months away, this has not stopped the transfer rumour mill from spinning and churning out speculations about various clubs including Chelsea.

In what would be termed as a surprise if it does happen, there are speculations that Chelsea could move in for Manchester City star striker Sergio Aguero. After the champions league 4-0 defeat Manchester City suffered in the hands of Barcelona, a match which Sergio Aguerio was dropped from the starting line up by manager Pep Guadiola, reports have stated that there have been problems between Aguero and Pep which may be the reason the striker is seeking a move from the club.

Though Pep has come out to deny such reports, stating that he considers Aguero to be an integral part of his plans and an important player for Manchester City, the speculations have refused to go away. Even though Aguero will be willing to leave the Etihad, Chelsea will have a fight on their hands to lure the Argentine to Stamford Bridge as there are a host of clubs interested in his services.

In the premiership, apart from Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are reported to be interested in the striker. Outside the premiership, there are several clubs around Europe who are also interested in the strikers. Clubs such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint- Gemain and Juventus are reported to monitoring proceedings at the Etihad.

In other news, reports from Spain claim that Barcelona is considering several defenders as possible signings, one of which is Branislav Ivanovic. Barcelona is looking to bolster its right back position and see Ivanovic as a good fit.
