Tiemoue Bakayoko

After emerging as a target for Chelsea this summer and being heavily linked with joining the premier league champions in recent times, France international Tiemoue Bakayoko is finally a Chelsea player, and the Stamford Bridge club have confirmed his signing from Monaco for a fee around £35M.

Bakayoko played a huge role helping Monaco win the Ligue I title last campaign and in their impressive Champions League campaign.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is determined to add more quality to his midfield ahead of a busy campaign next season with a return to the Champions League.

Tiemoue earned his first call-up to the senior France team earlier this year and is now ready to partner with his countryman N’Golo Kante in the heart of the midfield.

His arrival is expected to trigger the exit of Nemanja Matic from Stamford Bridge and the Serbian midfielder is expected to reunite with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

However, there are certain speculations that Antonio Conte will decide to keeping the Serb as the Italian manager might need to rotate his squad occasionally next season considering how busy his side will be.

Having signed a defender (Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma) and a midfielder in person of  Bakayoko, Conte is keen to bring in a top striker to replace Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.

His long-term target Romelu Lukaku has been snatched by Jose Mourinho’s Man United. And while Jose Mourinho was reportedly hoping to get Bakayoko, Chelsea have revenged adequately by snatching the player from the red devils grip.
