Deal Agreed – Chelsea reportedly agree terms with new boss after trophy-laden manager turn down rival offer

Luis Enrique

According to reports, Chelsea have reached an agreement with ex-Barcelona boss Luis Enrique to replace struggling manager Antonio Conte as the boss at Stamford Bridge.

Enrique wants summer move

However, the only issue on ground is that the Spanish coach only wants the Chelsea job in the summer after making up his mind to take a twelve months break after stepping down from the Catalan side last term.

As reported by the Daily Star, The Spanish tactician recently turned down a rival bid from La Liga giants as he seems interested in the Chelsea managerial job, though the West London giants face a fight to convince him to come in immediately.

Conte’s job safe for now

For now, that seems to be all that is keeping Italian tactician Antonio Conte in his Chelsea job, with the former Italy boss described by British publication the Star as a ‘dead man walking’ after a poor run of results.

The Blues have only two victories in their last ten matches across all competition and have lost three matches out of their last four games, including some disappointing thrashings in their last two Premier League games.

First, the reigning Champions were beaten 3-0 at Stamford Bridge home by AFC Bournemouth, before being annihilated even more on Monday night with a 4-1 defeat away to Watford.
