Premier League giants Chelsea want to drive down the asking price for one of their transfer targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from January 1.
This is according to the report from popular English media outlet The Sun.
It was revealed that the Blues are not ready to meet the financial demands of German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund for one of their prized assets.
Chelsea are strongly interested in signing Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund but they are not willing to meet the asking price of £70m.
The West Londoners are not the only team interested in the United States of America international with reports claiming that fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in him.

Pulisic, 20, is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the German Bundesliga but he has been unable to break into the Borussia Dortmund starting XI this season.
He has been restricted to just four league games in the new campaign and the American forward has found the back of the net once.
His current Borussia Dortmund deal will expire at the end of next season and that has only but fuelled rumours of a transfer away from the club.
