Liverpool star player Emre Can has been performing consistently since the start of the year, and he even helped his country win the Confederations Cup earlier this summer.
He has successfully pinned down a regular place in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield since arriving Anfield, and he has grown into one of the most dependable players at Liverpool
Unfortunately for Liverpool, the player’s contract with them is expiring next summer, and despite that, they have been trying to extend his deal at Anfield with improved terms, the German is yet to put pen to paper for a new deal.
Italian heavyweights Juventus were seriously linked with the German midfielder during the summer transfer window and there were speculations that the Serie A champions actually submitted a bid for the player – which was rejected by the Reds.
Apart from Juventus, French heavyweights PSG, as well as Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, were also credited with an interest in the player.
Right now, there are reports that both Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Emre with the intention of getting the player for free when his deal with Liverpool expires at the end of this term.
Even though Jurgen Klopp wants his countryman to remain with him at Anfield and will try persuading him to sign a new deal at the club, Can won’t be greatly missed following the arrival of Naby Keita next summer.
