Roma are reportedly considering a loan move for Charly Musonda in January.
The Chelsea midfielder has returned from Real Betis after a dry loan spell during the first half of the season and he is currently training with the Blues squad.
Musonda who started life in La Liga on an impressive note began to struggle for form and fitness in the new season, only managing to start one game in the top flight this term.
It is understood that Roma views the youngster as a replacement for Mohammed Salah who will go on international duties with the Egyptian national team at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Conte has also hinted that Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be allowed to leave on loan next month in order to gain more experience.
“I’m sure that Ruben has great potential,” he said.
“I think it’s important to show this, to improve a lot on different aspects. Now he’s in our squad. This season, he had a few injuries.
“But now he’s in good form and I count on him.
“There will be a moment when I speak with my club and take the best decision, but I count on him because I think he has good potential.”
Loftus-Cheek is a product of Chelsea’s youth academy and is under contract until June 2021
