Charly Musonda’s father has revealed his son might join Roma on loan till the end of the season.
Real Betis officially confirmed the return of Belgian star from his loan spell. Having joined the La Liga side on loan in January 2016 and went on to impress in the second half of the season.
The statement read: “Real Betis and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement to terminate the loan of player Charly Musonda Jnr to the Green-and-White team,”
The 20-year-old midfielder was seen in training with the Blues after his loan was caught short and Antonio Conte admitted he will give Musonda a chance to establish himself at the Stamford Bridge but his father has revealed his son also have the option to join Roma on loan if he does not stays at Chelsea.
He said: ‘There are only two options – Charly Jr. stays at Chelsea until the end of the season or he’ll join AS Roma on loan. Conte will have the final say. Charly gets the chance to prove himself in training. A return to Belgium is not an option’.
The Chelsea squad currently have many options in the attacking midfielder which puts Musonda’s future in balance at the Bridge.
