Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is adamant that he made the right decision during the Champions League clash with Liverpool.
Pochettino and Spurs faced Liverpool during the Champions League final at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday night but they ended the game on the losing side.
Spurs were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool and manager Mauricio Pochettino was criticised for starting star striker Harry Kane who was playing his first game in almost two months after some time out with a serious ankle injury.
In his post-match press conference, Mauricio Pochettino stood by his decision to start Harry Kane in the biggest game in the history of the club.

According to him, thorough analysis was done before they reached the conclusion that Harry Kane should start the game.
Harry Kane had suffered a serious ankle injury during the first leg of Spurs’ quarterfinal tie with Premier League champions Manchester City.
The England national team skipper suffered the injury during the second half of the Manchester City game in a collision with Citizens’ midfielder Fabian Delph.
Pochettino started Kane ahead of semifinal hattrick hero Lucas Moura and his team paid dearly for it via a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool who have sealed a sixth title.
