John Hartson Warns Brendan Rodgers About Leicester City Job

Former Celtic striker John Hartson has sounded a note of caution to former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers about the Leicester City job.

Celtic manager Rodgers has emerged as the favourite for the Leicester City job in the last 24 hours following the dismissal of Claude Puel on Sunday morning.

Celtic legend Hartson warned Brendan Rodgers about the Foxes’ managerial job in a chat with the Evening News as monitored by Goal.

He also pointed out that though Leicester City owners are wealthy, Scottish Champions Celtic are a bigger team.

Apart from Celtic, former Wales international player Hartson also played for the London duo of West Ham United and Arsenal.

Brendan Rodgers has done a good job at Celtic since he was appointed as the Hoops manager in 2016.

He won the Scottish Premiership title in his first season without any defeat.

The former Liverpool manager also won the league title in his second season (last campaign) and he has already led his team to the top of the table this season.

Celtic are eight points clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers at the summit.

Brendan Rodgers managed Liverpool for three years between 2012 and 2015 with a win ratio of fifty per cent from 166 games.
