This transfer speculation is an interesting one that deserves our attention because this is the second day in a row the Times have peddled it.
Going by the Sunday Times, It seems Chelsea are on their way to formulating their summer recruitment policy.
It was at first spread over the weekend that the Stamford Bridge club have already had “initiated discussions” to sign one of AS Monaco’s best stars.
As it indicates Chelsea’s Italian boss Antonio Conte thinks his team needs extra strength, it was reported that the west London club want to sign Monaco’s Bernando Silva.
Presently, the story has received an extra boast to trend. Monaco President Confirms Chelsea’s Interest
The Times have very recently circulated quotes from Monaco vice president Vasim Vasilyev confirming Chelsea’s interest in the star player Bernando Silva.
When Vasim was asked whether there have been inquiries about Silva, he told The Times: “Yes, yes. I really do not want to go into details, but for all our major players, we do have interest from major European clubs.
“This is not the right time to talk about it. Let us finish the season and then we can look at our project for next season. Me, the coach and the players are focused on this season.”
It was said that the Stamford Bridge club are getting ready for a £70 million bid for the 22-year-old in the upcoming summer.
However, Chelsea are not the only ones interested in him as other top European clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Man City, and Tottenham Hotspur wants his signature too. So, they won’t likely get the creative midfielder easily.
As Monaco take on Manchester City in their Champions League clash this week, Chelsea supporters will have a clear chance to see Silva in action.
