English Premier League (EPL) side Liverpool have been placed on alert after the agent of transfer target and Brazilian star Gabriel Barbosa revealed that his client could leave his Italian side Inter Milan in the January transfer window, which is expected to open on the 1st of January, 2017, as per the report from Football Italia.
According to his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, Gabigol as he is popularly called has been left humilitated by the lack of playing time at the San Siro and would be looking to move after playing just 16 minutes of Italian Serie A action.
Gabriel Barbosa regarded as one of the biggest prospects in Brazilian football sealed transfer to Inter Milan during the summer in a deal worth €30m however he has found limited playing opportunities at his struggling Inter Milan side.
In an interview with Radio Globo, his agent Wagner Ribeiro said: “I talk to him constantly. Everyone knows the salary which Gabriel receives at Inter isn’t sustainable for Santos, no club [in Brazil] can afford him.
“I was contacted by a club from Rio and one from Minas to take Gabriel on loan, but I can’t guarantee anything. What I want is for my client to no longer be humiliated. Why isn’t he playing? Not even Inter can answer that.” he concluded.
