The English duo of Manchester United and Chelsea FC are interested in getting the signature of Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez. Nevertheless, new reports stated that Rodriguez has no plans to leave the Spanish side in January.
The Colombia international who was signed for £60million after the 2014 World Cup has scored just twice so far this season, since it seem he isn’t part of Zinedine Zidane’s favorites.
Rodriguez’s challenges at Real Madrid has led to speculations that he could be about to make the switch to the Premier League.
However, Rodriguez insisted he’s happy in his present club despite struggling to make his mark.
“When you want to play at a club like Real Madrid, you always have to know that it’s a team that wants to win titles, and is used to winning titles,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.
“I am happy here. I hope I can play the final (Club World Cup) and add yet another title. I hope to continue doing good things.”
It is being said that the red devils are interested in signing Rodriguez so as to bolster their frontline, as they view him as a long term replacement for Wayne Rooney, who is not currently in top form.
On the other hand, it was claimed that EPL leaders Chelsea are eager to sign him as a replacement for Oscar, as earlier this week, Oscar agreed a £52m move to Shanghai SIPG. Thus, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been thrown into a transfer dilemma.
