The 20-year old claimed that he was always sure he would move to France.
Despite some stiff competition from Manchester United, the exciting youngster was eventually signed last week for 30 million euros by PSG. He is a talented player and was once compared to Real Madrid superstar and present world best player Cristiano Ronaldo.
The young Benfica man told RMC that he always wanted to pick Paris.
“I know that English and French football are different but honestly, I think that for someone my age, for someone young, it was was better to come to PSG because it’s a big club.” he said.
Guedes however agreed and attested that Manchester would have helped him too, but he believes he would feel more at home there in France than in England.
He is a product of the Eagles’ academy and has also scored seven times for the Lisbon side before making the move to France.
Guedes was even regarded highly important to them at Paris that even sporting director Patrick Kluivert personally flew to Portugal to seal the deal.
