Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will be staying at the Emirates despite speculations that he wants to quit the club after spending over two decades.
The French boss has been in the news for the uncertainty over his future at the Emirates, due to his failure to renew his contract with the Gunners. Sections of Arsenal fans have taken to the stadium and streets to protest the reign of Wenger that has been marked by trophy drought despite been revered for his efforts to help them build the Emirates stadium.
However, the Gunners boss has said he is already planning for the future with the club, ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace, but suggests he will not be making an announcement on his future soon, he said : “No it suggests that I do my job, planning for the future of the club.
“I cannot tell you [when the announcement is], I don’t know.
“I’m focused on now the next game.”.
It is understood that the Arsenal board have offered Wenger a two-year-deal to remain at the club but with conditions that he must re-invent himself at the club, and return to their past glory days. There are reports that the Frenchman might consider a move to Paris Saint Germain if he decides to leave the Emirates.
