Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has hailed the performance of Brazilian defender Gabriel after he deputized for the Gunners in place of first choice right back Hector Bellerin and centre back Skhrodan Mustafi in the last few league games over the past one month.
Speaking with the club’s official website ahead of the important league clash against West Brom at the Emirates Stadium on Monday, December 26, 2016, the former Rennes and Chelsea shot stopper hailed the former Villareal star as a player that plays with a lot of emotions.
In his words, Petr Cech, who recently retired from the Czech national team said: “Gabriel is a player who plays with his heart and you can see that in every game.”
“It always means a lot to him because he plays with a lot of emotion and does everything to help the team win.
“He’s done a great job while filling in for Hector on the right and now Shkodran in the middle. He’s been doing really well.
“Sometimes it’s not very easy when you have to fill in for players who have as much energy as Hector going up and down the wing, but I think he did a great job at right back.” he concluded.
