Arsenal will have to shell out £50million to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley this summer, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has been in the news in recent years as he continues to stall on renewing his contract at the Goodison Park and Everton boss Ronald Koeman has publicly told the player to make up his mind on his future before the end of the season.
Reports in the Telegraph claim that Everton will hold out for a free around £50miillion before allowing Barkley leave the club this summer as he looks to leave the club at the end of the season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the English midfielder and could be a viable replacement for German star Mesut Ozil.
The Gunners are on the verge of losing Mesut Ozil who has refused to renew his deal at the Emirates and Barkley will be a viable option.
Although, Everton are reluctant to allow Barkley leave Goodison Park this summer but are at risk of losing him on a cheap next season when his contract expires.
Arsene Wenger also remains keen holding on to Mesut Ozil who has also been tipped to leave the club this summer.
