Arsenal – No Premier League Title This Season

Manchester City are now 17 points ahead of Arsenal who are currently sitting on the fifth spot of the premier league table – and we might agree the gunners are now out of the title race (considering Man City’s classic form)

The North London club failed to qualify for the Champions League and are now in the Europa League’s knockout stages.

To avoid annoying the fans once again, Arsenal must qualify for next season’s Champions League. But, how?

Some might admonish manager Arsene Wenger to walk the path Jose Mourinho walked last season at Old Trafford. The Portuguese tactician ignored the premier league and concentrated on winning the Europa League – a success that gave his side a Champions League ticket for this season.

Being realistic, things can’t be same for everyone. And the fact that Mourinho successfully did that doesn’t mean Wenger should take the same path.

The best thing the French boss should do is to focus on finishing among the top four on the premier league – I think this is more realistic than trying to win the Europa League (come on, there are superb clubs still in that tournament!)

Need To Bolster The Team In January

To achieve any of his aims, Wenger must take advantage of the upcoming January transfer window to strengthen his team by signing new players.

And as far as Arsenal’s transfers are concerned, Steven N’Zonzi has been linked with a move to the club.

The Frenchman is yet to play for Sevilla since their last Champions League game against Liverpool, and there were speculations he isn’t in the good books of his manager.

But according to reports, the gunners are getting close to getting the 28-year-old’s signature.

It was made known the French player, who has a release clause of €40M in his contract, could leave Spain in January and that Arsenal seems to have agreed to pay Sevilla for his signature.
