Liverpool are plotting an audacious move for Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette and will reportedly meet his representatives this summer.
The French striker has been tipped to leave the Ligue 1 this summer after another impressive season with Lyon. There have been a lot of interest from major clubs in Europe, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all credited with a move for the player.
Atleti were understood to have started negotiations to move for Lacazette as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann who was on the verge of leaving the Vicente Calderon for Manchester United. But was stopped due to the transfer ban that prevents the La Liga side from signing players till next January transfer window.
Reports in the Express claim that Liverpool are considering a summer swoop for Lacazette, and will meet the player’s representatives this week.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is understood to be a long-term admirer of the striker, with reports that he will also try to sign the player this summer but will have to beat Liverpool to his signature.
Lacazette has been a key figure for Lyon, netting 34 goals for them this season and has indicated his interest for playing in the Champions League next season.
