Arsenal in deep trouble, Gazidis hasn’t been replaced

There seem to be many other things to worry about following the shock exit of Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis from the club to AC Milan.

Gazidis had announced his leaving Arsenal for Italy and has expressed his pain at the decision, stressing that it was a difficult one to make.

Almost immediately, the North London club announced some changes and named Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham as the new head of the club.

Raul, who was head of football relations, was named as head of football, and Vinai, the chief commercial officer, becomes managing director.

This development could only mean a cover but does not translate to a replacement for the American Businessman as reports from the Emirates Stadium reveals that efforts are in top gear to secure a direct replacement for the position of the CEO.

According to Daily Mail Arsenal might secure the services of a head-hunter agency to get a replacement for Gazidis.

Meanwhile, Josh Kroenke has been suggested as the right candidate to fill the vacant seat but Arsenal are being let down by the perceived Kroenke’s reluctance to permanently relocate to London.

Gazidis played a major role in the transition and changes at Arsenal, especially seeing the departure of former manager, Arsene Wenger and the recruit of Unai Emery.
