Arsenal and AC Milan are set to lock horns over Gunners chief, Ivan Gazidis who is reported to be on his way to Italy.
Speculations in the past weeks have linked the Arsenal chief executive to Milan but latest report says the Italian outfit are confident to pull a deal that will have Gazidis complete a move to the San Siro
Gazidis is well respected by Milan owing to the success he brought to Arsenal. He is now a top target by the president, Paolo Scaroni, and the Elliott group, the US hedge fund which owns the Italian club.
According to reports the Arsenal chief executive has already met with Milan authorities and talks are believed to be positive with a deal expected to be struck anytime from now.
Gazidis will be expected to oversee talks with Uefa over financial fair play if he eventually finalizes the move.
However, Arsenal are believed to be reluctant in releasing Gazidis to Milan knowing well that he is a major part of the club’s success and his role in ensuring the emergence of Unai Emery as the Gunners coach after the departure of Arsene Wenger.
Emery is one of those who has insisted that the Arsenal chief remains at the club as one of those he first had contact with at the Emirates.
