Barcelona have cleared Arda Turan to leave the club this summer amid serious interest from Manchester United, according to reports.
The 30-year-old has struggled to make the cut at the Camp Nou since he joined them from Atletico Madrid in 2015, there have been speculations over his future with the Catalans due to his bit-part role that has left him frustrated while his form for his national side, Turkey has also deteriorated.
Turan has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days, with reports that Jose Mourinho is keen on adding the attacker midfielder to his setup this summer.
Reports in the Guardian claim that United are now in pole position to sign the Turkish midfielder before the end of the transfer window after Barca clear the player to leave.
Before now, the Catalan giants were considering including Turan as a makeweight for their transfer pursuit of Philippe Coutinho and Hector Bellerin but with respective deals not looking likely to happen soon. United have been given a free run at the Turkish star.
Arsenal were said to have held talks with Barcelona over a possible deal for Turan earlier this summer but opted out of the deal due to the demands of the La Liga side.
