The FIFPro World 11 is an all-star world XI that is compiled every year, and this time around, top stars playing in the premier league such as Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are among the superstars all over the world to make the final 55 names.
Although Valencia has been a sort of an unsung hero at Old Trafford in recent times, many are wondering if he is actually close to the status of some of the other well-established names that made the list.
Apart from the veteran star, other Man United players that made the list are Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, David de Gea and Nemanja Matic. But as expected, very big names from the duo of Barcelona and Real Madrid dominate the list.
Valencia will be competing with other top stars including Dani Alves, Philipp Lahm and Daniel Carvajal for the right back position, and many feel he is very unlikely to beat such caliber of players to the final list.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho were also nominated from the premier league, but no Manchester City player made the list – not even Aguero!
Footballers from around the world will be the ones to vote on the final team. Voting will be closing in December and the lineup will be announced next January.
