Antonio Conte Reveals Efforts To Recall Promising Youngster

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed Nathan Ake could be recalled from Bournemouth.

The 21-year-ols has impressed during his loan spell with the Cherries despite having a torrid start to life under Eddie Howe. The Chelsea youngster has been playing as a centre-back for Bournemouth and could offer Antonio Conte more options as the Italian boss looks to bolster his options for the second half of the Premier League.

There are speculations that the youngster could return to his parent club after showing he could cut the grade in the Premier League and Antonio Conte has also admitted to the fact.

‘Ake is a really good player and now he’s started to play with Bournemouth and is playing every game,’ said the Chelsea manager.

‘Honestly, I’m evaluating his situation, because Ake could be an interesting opportunity in this window for us.’

Eddie Howe had earlier confessed the Cherries are of the hopes that Ake does not get to be recalled by the Blues due to his impressive form.

He said in November:  “You sort of hope the phone doesn’t ring, or you could just ignore the phone when it does.

“We have had no conversation with them at this moment in time.

“It is there decision and their right if they need Nathan back to make that call. We are hoping he stays with us.

“Nathan looks happy and he has been producing. That has not been a major concern of mine.

“I would like to think Chelsea are happy where he is and how we have treated the player and the development we are putting in to him.

“That was the purpose of the loan. It improves his football knowledge and experience and hopefully they achieve their goal.”
