Antoine Griezmann

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann fancies a move to Manchester United, according to reports.

The French forward was heavily linked with a move to the Old Trafford this summer, after holding positive talks with Jose Mourinho’s side  who were also ready to pay over the odds to land their man until a transfer ban to Atletico scuppered the deal, leaving the Spanish side being unable to register players until the January transfer window.

However, reports in Spanish outlet Don Balon have it that Griezmann is still considering a move to the Old Trafford.

The report also claim that the striker is concerned about the club inactivity this summer with their failure to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea while Jan Oblak has been tipped to join Paris Saint Germain.

Jose Mourinho is said to be open to the idea of luring Griezmann to United next summer transfer window after losing out on the Frenchman this year.

In related news, Manchester United are ready to match Barcelona release clause for Sergi Roberto, according to reports in Don Balon.

The Spanish midfielder who is capable of playing at full-back has a release clause of  £36.5million and could be open to a move away from Camp Nou following the arrival of Nelson Semedo from Benfica.
