As Chelsea looks likely to lose Diego Costa come summer, various superb strikers have been linked to be moving to the Stamford Bridge club to replace Costa.
Apart from Everton forward Romelu Lukaku, one superb player that has been linked with a move to Chelsea is Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata.
However, the Spanish forward revealed he has personally heard nothing from either Antonio Conte or the Chelsea management.
And recently talking about the Chelsea speculations, Morata joked that the former Juventus boss must have been calling his old phone number because he is unaware of any interest from the Chelsea boss.
Earlier, there were reports that claimed Chelsea’s manager Antonio Conte and the club’s technical director are not on the same page in regards to the player to be signed to replace Costa.
While Conte is said to be very much interested in signing Morata and the transfer will cost the west London side something about £70 million, Chelsea’s technical director Mr Michael Emenalo desires re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton because he felt Lukaku has the ‘premier league experience’.
However, the Spain international revealed that he hasn’t been in touch with Conte and the news about Conte calling him is not quite true.
He scored three times in Madrid’s 4-2 win over Leganes on Wednesday, and despite not having lots of game time, declared that he is happy at Real Madrid.
He stated that this season is not yet over, so he cannot put his attention to next season when he should focus on this season and work harder for his side.
