During his unveiling ceremony, one thing on Sanchez’s mind will surely be how to perform brilliantly so as to endear himself to Old Trafford faithful but he has so far failed to perform up to fans’ expectations.

Many fans and pundits have criticized the Chilean striker of being responsible for United’s recent less impressive performance, claiming that his introduction to Mourinho’s starting lineup is having a negative effect on the team’s chemistry and winning formation.

The former Arsenal star is reportedly considering ending his stay under José Mourinho due to huge criticism from the Red Devils fans, according to Chilevision TV. The 29-year-old striker, in an interview with the TV station on Wednesday after United’s defeat to Sevilla, revealed his plan to join  Universidad de Chile- a club in his homeland- before ending his successful career.

Sanchez further revealed that he is not under huge pressure to deliver despite his current form for José Mourinho’s side.

He believes he will become a better player with time and pressure from United fans.

“The more pressure I’m under, the better I feel. I feel like an important player at world level,” he said.

Chile won’t be part of this year’s summer World Cup which will be hosted by Russia after losing 3-0 to Brazil in their last group game.

The Copa America Champions were unconvincing during the qualifiers and they were made to pay for their complacency by the Samba Boys last year.

Reflecting on Chile’s World Cup misfortune, Sanchez revealed his sadness for not being able to qualify for the Mundial.
