Reports are rife that Arsenal may lose their star striker Alexandre Lacazette before the European transfer deadline ends on Friday night.
The former Lyon man who has seen his contributions to the team dwindle under new manager Unai Emery is unhappy due to lack of adequate game time. Lacazette has started all of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season from the bench and has been unable to add to the 17 goals he has for Arsenal so far.

Emery’s new system in Arsenal only accommodates a lone striker upfront and that position is held down by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang thus leaving Laca [as he is called by fans] in the cold.
Supporters are eager to have the two strikers pair upfront in matches but the new manager has ended that optimism by saying he will not be playing the two strikers together for now.
The French international striker returned 91 goals in 133 appearances for Lyon in Ligue 1 in four seasons prior to his arrival to North London. In him, the Gunners have a top class striker who will not find it difficult to walk into any European team.
Already, several European teams have started inquiring about the player according to a French news publication Le10sports. However, it is understood that Arsenal won’t be willing to let go of their star player without a fight as they will be unable to sign a replacement for him until January; a situation that is far from ideal for the North London club.
It remains to be seen if Emery will give the player the much-required game time as the season progresses. Otherwise, if things don’t improve, Lacazette might be forced to seek a move away in January to realise his ambitions.
