Chelsea’s youngster Nathan Ake talks about David Luiz’s help ahead of their FA Cup semi-final game with Tottenham at Wembley, and also noted some things about Spurs deadly striker Harry Kane.
He revealed that he received words of guidance from David Luiz ahead of the game which saw his side emerged victorious.
Ake, who was thrown in at the deep end against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, was drafted in to the starting XI for the big match due to the absence of Gary Cahill.
The 22-year-old however performed well above average even while being under pressure. We also look on if Nathan can keep his place and begin featuring regularly in Antonio Conte’s squad, since he has spent a great part of this season sitting on the bench.
However, Ake had a nice time on the pitch, and hailed David Luiz for helping him and giving him some advice before the game.
The Dutchman, speaking about Tottenham Hotspur star striker Harry Kane, said he faced a huge challenge of keeping Kane quiet during the encounter.
He stated that Harry is always on the run, so a defender have to be focused 100% on him. And about Tottenham’s first goal scored by Kane, Ake revealed he didn’t even know when the striker appeared at the front to flick home the ball.
Ake concluded that Harry is a great striker who scores many goals and very difficult to play against because he keeps making things difficult for defenders.
