Jose Mourinho led his Manchester United men to two straight draws in their last two games in the premier league. Right now, the Old Trafford club are set to take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in their next outing in the English top flight.
Since Arsenal’s victory over West Ham placed the Gunners back above United, Man United obviously needs to work hard to get back to winning ways.
In the midweek game against Everton, the Portuguese tactician chose to keep more than a few of his star players on the bench. So, we expect his star players to return to the starting XI as they meet Sunderland away from home.
Veteran star player Antonio Valencia was benched in their last match and we expect him to return to replace Ashley Young in the starting XI. Valencia is expected to start alongside others like Rojo, Bailly and Blind in the back line in front of Spanish goalie De Gea.
Also, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick are likely to start in the center of the park for Man United. And up front, Armenian star player Mkhitaryan, French international Martial, and record signing Paul Pogba, should all start behind Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Here is Man United’s strongest 4-2-3-1 line vs Sunderland.
GK – De Gea
DL – Blind
DC – Rojo
DC – Bailly
DR – Valencia
MC – Herrera
DM – Carrick
AL – Martial
AC – Pogba
AR – Mkhitaryan
FC – Ibrahimovic
