Why Sarriball Is Meaningless

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that the name given to his style (Sarriball) is meaningless and that he doesn’t know what Sarriball is.

Former Napoli boss Sarri further added that the need for results supersedes style before adding that the origin of Sarriball could be traced back to his native Italy.

His playing style at Napoli and Chelsea has been labelled ‘Sarriball’.

Maurizio Sarri talked about his playing style in his pre-match thoughts before the Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

Chelsea will face the holders for the first piece of domestic silverware this season in the top flight of English football.

Italian tactician Sarri is under serious pressure following a poor run of results for his team especially away from home in the Premier League.

Some media outlets think that Maurizio Sarri could lose his job as the Chelsea manager if the Blues are beaten in the Carabao Cup final later today.

Manchester City are heavy favourites to win the competition they won last year via a 3-0 victory over North London giants Arsenal.

The Citizens claimed their second win of the season over the Blues via the 6-0 thrashing handed out to them at the Etihad Stadium two weeks ago.
