One of former manager Jose Mourinho’s target Nikola Milenkovic is reported to now be in talks with the club despite the departure of the Portuguese boss.
Nikola Milenkovic was one of Mourinho’s biggest targets before leaving the Old Trafford and it would be recalled that the former Chelsea boss when to scout the player while he was on international assignment with Serbia.
Reports now claim that the Red Devils have gone ahead to told talks with the Fiorentina star having identified him as the one to bring the solution to the defensive crisis of the club.
Italian newspaper La Repubblica is reporting that Nikola Milenkovic’s agent is currently holding talks with Man United over a possible move in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
There are indications that United have now seen the good sign that qualification to the top four at the end of the season and that seem to be pushing the club into having some additions in the winter transfer market.
If reports are to be believed, talks have gone to advanced stage but the Red Devils have been told they will have to break the bank for the player.
Meanwhile, United seem to have returned to winning ways after winning their first game in the post-Mourinho era with a 5-1 margin.
