How PL Rival Overtakes Chelsea In Pursuit Of Promising Forward

Tottenham Hotspurs are leading Chelsea in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Andrea Pinamonti, according to reports.

The 17-year-old forward is being regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has been monitored by Chelsea but reports in Calcio Mercato claim that Tottenham have now overtaken their rivals in their pursuit.

It is understood that the Serie A side has not tied Pinamonti to a long-term deal which gives potential suitors to lure him from the San Siro, although Inter are considering offering the Italian youngster a five-year deal.

In related news, Borussia Dortmund have also moved ahead of the Blues to complete the signing of AIK Solna youngster Alexander Isak.

The 17-year-old has been watched by a host of European clubs and reports in ESPN claimed that Chelsea and Real Madrid were leading the chase for the teenager.

However, reports in the Guardian have it that Isak could move to Dortmund after agreeing a £8.65 million for the youngster.

Isak has also impressed on the international scene with Sweden and national team boss Janne Anderson revealed his admiration for the youngster.

“Isak is rewriting history and I am not surprised,” he said.

“I knew that he would do well.

“He is calm and incredibly stable.

“It’s been fun to get to know him.”
