Popular Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague is of the opinion that Manchester Untied have a good chance of signing Antoine Griezmann if Diego Simeone leaves this summer.

Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford right from last year with reports claiming he’d been keen on a move under Jose Mourinho.

However Atletico Madrid are right now in a good financial position where they can keep hold of their players and if Simeone decides to stay, then the Madrid club will not be looking to sell any of their star assets.

Balague speaking about the situation insisted that Atletico Madrid will only consider a huge offer. He stated that Griezmann is happy with life under his manager Diego Simeone and rejected approaches from both Man United and Man City last summer.

“What can be said for sure is Griezmann has not signed for anyone at this stage. It will take a huge offer and there is no guarantee he will agree to leave the Vincente Calderon.” he said.
