Star player happy with Conte’s decision, Conte must field him to smash Tottenham

Various reports in the English media linking French star Kurt Zouma away from Stamford Bridge in January, the player has come out to state that he is happy with boss Antonio Conte’s decision to leave him out of first team according to Daily Star.

The 22-year old centre-back was a key player in the Blues team last season, before he suffered a knee injury which ruled him out for over six months.

Although the highly rated defender has returned to training, he is yet to feature for the Blues senior team. He has been playing with the Blues under-23 team.

Speaking concerning his current position in the Blues squad, Zouma said:

“I am very pleased to play another 90 minutes. I need to play, keep going and to work because I was out for a long time,” said Zouma.

“I am very happy to play (for the Under-23s), I need game-time. I am used to being with the first team, but I am so lucky because I can play with the Under-23s and with a very good tea.

“The skipper (Terry) is still there, he’s still sharp and in good form. He did well (against Southampton Under-23s). It’s very good to get some advice from him.”

The French star played alongside skipper John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Belgian goal poacher Michy Batshuayi against Southampton’s reserve in a 3-2 victory on Monday.

Chelsea will welcome Tottenham to Stamford Bridge for an EPL clash on Saturday and the French star will be hoping to get on the team list
