Manchester United have been alerted at the availability of Cristiano Ronaldo following his decision to leave Real Madrid, according to reports.

The FIFA Player of the Year is believed to have told Real that he wants to leave the club following an allegation that he defrauded the Spanish tax authorities of €14.7 million between 2011 and 2014.

Reports in Portuguese outlet A Bola claim that Ronaldo was left disgusted at the accusation by the Spanish authorities and wants to leave the country this summer.

According to reliable Spanish news outlet Marca the 31-year-old has told club president Florentino Perez about his decision to leave this summer and it is ‘irreversible’.

Although, the report also claim that Perez is trying to convince Ronaldo on changing his mind leaving this summer, with reports that the club is aware of the player’s astronomical transfer figure if he decides to leave.

The Portuguese star who left Manchester United for Real Madrid have been linked with a return to the Old Trafford since then while Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in the superstar.

Marca claims that Real Madrid have tried to calm the situation by issuing an official statement supporting the Ronaldo, but might leave the open for a move due to the staggering transfer fee that will be involved.
