Sarri on the verge to sign £90m-rated striker

A new report from Stamford Bridge has made it known that coach Maurizio Sarri has the desire to bring a new striker to the club.

So far this season, Eden Hazard has been the Blues main goal scorer with 7 goals from eight matches.

However, it is believed that Hazard alone can’t continue to score goals for Chelsea, he will need support from at least another striker but Chelsea are without one.

The Blues currently have the duo of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud as their center forwards but neither of the two are regular goalscorers.

Ever since the departure of Diego Costa, Chelsea have been without a center forward that can score regularly.

However, new coach, Maurizio Sarri is planning to correct this anomaly in January with a report linking him to Inter Milan’s top striker, Mauro Icardi.

Mauro Icardi is a prolific goal scorer having scored 103 goals from 165 appearances for Inter Milan in Italian Serie A since 2013.

The Italian club has fixed Icardi’s transfer price at £90 million, an amount Chelsea might not want to pay.

Apart from Icardi, Sarri has been linked with AC Milan’s 20 years old striker, Patrick Cutrone.

Cutrone has found the back of the net for AC Milan 11 times in 34 appearances.
