Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has asked for more output from summer signing Naby Keita who has been largely disappointing since his transfer to the Reds at the start of the season.

Mane demanded an improvement in a Liverpool shirt from fellow African star Naby Keita in his latest interview with the club’s official website.

The Senegalese international star revealed that he told Naby Keita that much more is expected from him before adding that he has the quality to produce better performances for the Reds.

Sadio Mane was speaking from the Reds’ Marbella training camp base ahead of the upcoming Champions League last 16 first leg clash with German champions Bayern Munich next week.

Both Naby Keita and Sadio Mane were in the 31-man Liverpool squad that jetted out to Marbella for a training camp immediately after they defeated Bournemouth 3-0 to boost their Premier League title hopes on Saturday evening.

Sadio Mane scored the opening goal before Georginio Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah added further goals to make it a comprehensive victory for Liverpool.

Naby Keita played his best game for Liverpool since his £53m transfer from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last summer in that Premier League clash with the Cherries at Anfield.
